BEHIND THE design
My work is shaped by a simple idea: design should make things clearer, not more complicated.

MY EXPERIENCE
Design has always been my lens—learning gave it purpose.
With over two decades of experience in visual communication and education, I focus on bridging design and instructional practice. My work centers on simplifying complex ideas, applying evidence-based strategies, and creating materials that support real-world use..
a brief history
about me
I bring over two decades of experience in visual communications and education, with a career built on the intersection of design, clarity, and purpose. My work began in K–12 support services, where I developed a strong foundation in communication, technology, and problem-solving across a wide range of roles. Over time, I became increasingly focused on how design influences understanding—especially in instructional settings.
As an instructional designer, I approach every project with intention. I am particularly interested in how cognitive load theory, multimedia principles, and visual design can work together to improve learning outcomes. I have seen firsthand how often well-intended instructional materials fall short due to poor design choices, and I am driven to create solutions that are not only visually effective, but also grounded in how people actually learn.
In my current role, I support large-scale professional learning initiatives by supporting program design, evaluation, and content development. My work includes everything from developing instructional materials and branding systems to coordinating learning experiences and analyzing program impact. I value work that is practical, usable, and aligned to real-world needs—especially for educators.
I see instructional design as both a creative and analytical discipline. My goal is always the same: to reduce unnecessary complexity, support meaningful engagement, and create learning experiences that are clear, accessible, and built to work.
